MISAR Technique
Minimally invasive stapled abdominal reconstruction (MISAR) is an advanced surgical technique that uses small incisions and miniaturised instruments to repair the abdominal wall.
This technique offers numerous advantages over traditional surgical techniques, including:
Reduced Scarring: Smaller incisions mean patients have less visible scarring.
Rapid Recovery: Patients can recover more quickly, reducing the length of their hospital stay.
Less Postoperative Pain: The MISAR technique reduces postoperative pain through smaller incisions and a less invasive approach.
Greater Precision: Miniaturised instruments allow greater precision during surgery
Reduced Recurrence
RATIONALE
The course has been designed to provide advanced training in the MISAR technique, improving surgical skills and broadening the ability to treat patients with abdominal wall conditions. Through a combination of a theoretical lecture and practical training in the operating theatre, the course aims to:
Update Skills: Provide the latest innovations and techniques in abdominal wall surgery.
Improve Clinical Effectiveness: Increase the effectiveness of surgical procedures, reducing recovery times and improving patient outcomes.
Promote Collaboration: Foster collaboration between experienced surgeons and specialists in minimally invasive techniques, creating a network of knowledge and expertise.
